Garden events including plot applications, meetings, workdays, and workshops will be posted in the calendar below. Dates are subject to change if a major conflict arises, such as a home football game. Location details will be specified as they arise.
Though we will try to post event announcements and changes to this page, our email listserve is the best way to stay up-to-date with garden happenings! Instructions to subscribe can be found here.
Announcements and Updates
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION:
Parking & Transportation is more actively monitoring our parking area during business hours. If you do not have a permit to park on campus at Penn State-UP, you are at risk of getting a ticket. P&T is informed of our scheduled workdays and workshops, and all gardeners are allowed to park onsite at these times. Outside of those days and times, parking around our site is on university property and must follow the rules of the university (policy BS03), as states: "Every faculty/staff employee of the University or of an affiliated program (regardless of shift or office location) wishing to use parking facilities operated by the University Parking Office on the University Park campus, or any property owned or leased by The Pennsylvania State University, must register their vehicle with the Parking Office and, while parked, properly display an authorized parking permit.”
We are working on a more permanent parking solution with the Parking & Transportation office, particularly for garden members who are not affiliated with the University, but be aware that for now, parking on site during the day runs the risk of getting a ticket.
6/26/2019: Reminder that there is a workday this Saturday, June 29th, from 10am-12pm. Come help us finish cleaning up the pollinator garden so we can get it replanted! All gardeners must attend two workdays during the growing season.
5/6/2019: All plots are filled and applications for the 2019 growing season are now closed. Happy gardening!
