Pest Management

The Penn State Community Garden promotes organic, effective, and environmentally sound ways of controlling pests in the garden through the use of integrated pest management (IPM). IPM combines the knowledge of pest behavior with preventative techniques to control pest problems so that they never get out of hand. Common garden pests include insects, diseases, rodents and weeds.
