Companion Planting Workshop

posted May 18, 2015, 12:32 PM by Psu Garden
The Penn State CfS Community Garden will be hosting a Companion Planting Workshop next Wednesday, May 27th, from 5:30-6:30pm at the garden. Companion planting is based on the idea that certain plants can benefit from one another when grown in close proximity.

Dr. Michele Mansfield, a Research Technician in the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology, will lead us through this workshop. She will discuss her personal companion planting experiences, as well as recommendations from the book 'Carrots Love Tomatoes'. Free basil, a widely used companion plant, will be available to those in attendance.
