Due to the snow we will not have the workday at 10am. There will be a make up workday schedule available soon. 

The 8:30am Intro to Organic Gardening Workshop with Scott DiLoreto will still occur in the Morning Star Home basement, next to the Community Garden.

Please join us at the first workshop at the garden this year. It will be an Introduction to Organic Gardening Workshop with Scott DiLoreto. This workshop precedes the garden kickoff/workday and will take place from 8:30-10am on Saturday, April 9th!

Plot Renewals

It is finally plot renewal time. Yes, a little delayed this season, but we are ready to accept your renewal, if you so choose. If you have attended at least two workdays, please email Julie Ann Razryadov at by February 21st. If you have not attended two workdays, you will be denied a renewal, but you are still welcome to sign up when we conduct the signups for the general population in March. If you do not respond by the 21st, the same applies. Thank you so much andwe look forward to another beautiful and productive season.

Garden Potluck next WednesdaySeptember 16 at 6:00pm. We will fire up the grill and share the harvests of this year's gardening season. This event will also serve as a garden meeting to discuss ideas for improving the garden, and future events. So come out and share your ideas and some good food. Please bring your own dinnerware if possible.

Pollinator Workshop

Pollinator Workshop this SundaySeptember 13 at 2:00pm. Join us at the Penn State Community Garden for a Pollinator Workshop led by Ph.D. Entomology Student, Maggie Douglas. Maggie will lead us through our new pollinator garden. She will discuss the benefits of pollinators and offer advice for promoting pollinators in your own garden. Please register for the event at

Fermentation Workshop

Have you ever wanted to make your own sauerkraut or kimchi? Penn State Greenhouse Manager, Scott DiLoreto, will lead us through this hands-on workshop where participants will make their own 'kraut-chi'. We must limit this workshop to 25 people since supplies are limited. Please register here for the event.
